The Alvarez brand was established in 1965.
Alvarez, best known for its acoustic guitars, produced from 1990 until 2002 electrics and basses, made in Korea (while some acoustics were made in Japan).
In 90, the Westone brand was replaced with Alvarez.
Alvarez do not produce anymore electrics. These are now branded Austin, by St Louis Music, designer/importer/distributor.
