Set Neck. Nut made of Plastic. Laminated neck. The neck is made of Maple. The fingerboard is made of Rosewood. The fingerboard is inlaid. (Perloid centered dots).
Body
Middle of the body is made of Maple. Sides of the body are made of Ash. No pickguard on this model.

Configuration: HH. Volume controls: 2. Tone controls: 2. There is a pick-up selector. The pick-up selector has 3 positions.
Hardware
This guitar has a one-piece bridge/stop.
Notes
This bass guitar is almost identical to the 1981 VP-710B, except thisone has a much darker finish on the wings, nothing written on the TRC, the selector switch cavity is considerably larger (wider cover) and the most important difference: she has a hip contour cut out on the back, where the VP-710B hasn't.
