Spanish 12 string, +/- 1970

A very rare 12 string acoustic guitar made in Spain by Union Musical Espanola (Antes Casa Dotesio) Madrid/Valancia. They must have thought we can build dreadnought guitars to. It is completely build according to Spanisch classical guitars pecifications, very light, beautiful roset and a fan strutting! It could never stand 12 steelstrings on a top mounted bridge!! Wenn I found this instrument the top was collapsed and a big crack. I had 2 possibilities, transform it into a normal 12 string and put a Xbracestrutting in it, or leave it as a big Spanisch guitar. I wanted to hear how it would sound as it is. So I had to come up with another solution the Maccaferri way to hold the strings and a support inside. Again quit an experience. The result is an amazing great sounding instrument. The inlays in binding and roset are made of wood. On this guitar Bruunari finishing is used. All my instruments have a straight neck and a in this case I don't find it as comfortable to play as nylonstring guitars and you need big hands. This is your opportunity to get a one of a kind 12 steelstring. The sound is loud, clear, bright and transparent with good sustain Big volume, basses and trebles well balanced. It sounds like a resonator guitar or a dobro? To my opinion a collectors item.

Wood all solid: top; german spruce, back ans sides; mahogany, neck; cedrella no trusrodd, fretboard rosewood, bridge; rosewood, inlays binding and purfling; wood.
Nut and sadle; bone.
Fingerboard; 56 - 64 mm. !!
Frets; 18 brass.
Strings; D'Addario EJ38 Phosfor Bronze Custom Light ( I always put new strings on !!)
Tuners; original nickel good working.
Distance; from the top of the 12 th fret to the bottom of the strings, 5 mm
