Höfner Parlor, +/- 1960

A nice guitar. It is made in Germany. The first Höfner I restored was also finered but, just like this one, it did not sound bad at all. This guitar is nicely restored to the best of my ability. The back and top had to be sandpapered down. The neck and fretboard were arched and the mechanics did not work. On this guitar Bruunari polish is used. There is no roset. All my instruments have a straight neck and a comfortable touch. This is your opportunity to get a good guitar which is very well playable. The sound is somewhat like a parlor, with good sustain. It is build as a classical guitar but with a ladder strutting. Bass and treble in balance. Do not put streelstrings on this instrument.

Wood: top; german spruce, back and sides; maple, neck; mahogany composed (round)no trussrod, fretboard palisander, bridge; palisander, endpin palisander.
Nut and sadle; bone
Fingerboard; 46 - 57 mm.
Frets; 19 nickel.
Strings; Hanabach medium tension ( I always put new strings on !!) It will probably take steelstrings but it will change the character of this instrument entirely!
Tuners; nickel, original, working well.
Distance; from the top of the 12 th fret to the bottom of the strings, 4 mm
