A nice guitar. It was made in Holland. The first Alfesta I repaired was a steelstring and the new owner, David Burke was not very pleased with it. This nylonstring guitar is more my metier and sound and tunes better. This guitar is nicely repaired. The back and top had to be sandpapered down. The neck and fretboard were arched and the mechanics did not work. On this guitar Bruunari polish is used. Look at the pretty inlayed roset. All my instruments have a straight neck and a comfortable touch. This is your opportunity to get a good guitar which is very well playable. The sound is somewhat like a parlor, with good sustain. It is build as a classical guitar but with a ladder strutting. Bass and treble in balance. Do not put streelstring on this instrument.

Strings; D'Addario EJ44 Extra hard tension ( I always put new strings on !!) It will probably endure steelstrings but it will change the character of this instrument entirely!
